This is a translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one, and it prevails in case of any discrepancy.

1. General information

This Privacy Policy describes how JMB Indústria e Comércio de Conectores Ltda collects, uses and protects data from visitors to jmbconectores.com.br.

This document was drafted in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/18, the LGPD) and may be updated to reflect changes in legislation.

2. What data we collect

When you submit the quote form, the data you entered (name, company, phone, e-mail, product line, quantity and message) is stored on a JMB server. Your IP address, the site language, the country the visit came from and the submission date are stored alongside it; the IP and date are used to curb automated submissions, and the country to tell domestic sales from exports. When e-mail notification to the sales team is enabled, the same data is also forwarded by e-mail; and if you provide an e-mail address, we send you a confirmation with a summary of your request.

If you choose to continue on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy policy, and the same form data is recorded here so the request is not lost if the conversation is never completed.

Fonts and other visual assets are served by this site itself, with no external service involved. The only third parties invoked are:

  • GeoJS (get.geojs.io): called when the page loads, it identifies the country the visit comes from in order to suggest a language (Portuguese, Spanish or English); the service receives the visitor's IP address.
  • YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com): the company video is only loaded when you click to watch it. From then on the player belongs to Google, which receives the IP address and handles data under its own policy. We use the enhanced privacy domain, which reduces activity logging but does not eliminate it.
  • Google reCAPTCHA (google.com/recaptcha): when enabled, it checks whether a form submission came from a person or a robot. The service belongs to Google, receives the IP address and observes interaction with the page to make that assessment; no image challenge is shown. While the check is not enabled, no Google script is loaded.

The site also stores your chosen language in your own browser only (localStorage), and that information is never sent to any JMB server.

3. Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own for tracking, audience measurement or advertising. The third-party requests described in item 2 may, on their own account, use cookies or equivalent mechanisms, subject to each service's privacy policy.

4. How we use the data

Form data is used only to answer the quote request and to keep a record of sales enquiries. It does not feed advertising and is not used for profiling. The country lookup by IP (item 2) is used solely to suggest a display language, and the video player only comes into play if you choose to watch.

If the database is unavailable when you submit, the request is temporarily written to a file on JMB's own server and moved into the database as soon as possible. This is what keeps a request from being lost to a technical failure.

Records are kept for as long as they are useful to the enquiry and can be deleted on request, via the e-mail in item 6.

5. Data sharing

JMB does not sell, rent or share visitor data with third parties for commercial purposes. The only third parties involved are the technical services listed in item 2 and, if you send a message through the quote form, WhatsApp/Meta.

6. Visitor rights

Under the LGPD, you may request information about how this site processes data, as well as raise questions or requests, by e-mailing vendas@jmbconectores.com.br.

7. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.

8. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by Brazilian law. Any disputes will be submitted to the courts of the district of Criciúma, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
